Hello everyone …
I hope I am not that late to write on my new year resolutions and wish-list related to Korea.
But before I do that, let me make a brief note about this year new year celebration, specially for Indonesians, and I think for people in Korea also. We welcome new year this year in a atmosphere of grief and deep condolences because of the calamity that befell Air Asia QZ 8501 which crashed in the waters Karimata Strait. Up till now, Search and Rescue Team not only from Indonesia but from many countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, US, Rusia, Korea included is still working all out to find all 155 people on board, among them it is said there are three Koreans. It is really sad and a heartbroken situation, they are all in our thoughts and our prayers …
Talking about resolutions and what-to-do-lists in this 2015, I have to reflect on the year 2014. What become so special to me last year and I was very grateful to God and also to Korea.net that I was selected as Worldwide Korea Bloggers team. The announcement is here: blog korea.net.
It encourage me to write and to share all events related with Korea in my country. I never been in Korea so that I can’t tell many things about Korea, I just focus on my writings on how Korea and its hallyu affect many people mainly young generation in Indonesia and how Korea-Indonesia builds its bilateral relationship in various field; economy, social, culture , education, technology even military cooperation.
I hope what I write and share through Korea blog during last year will be a good and useful contributions for people in both countries and for anyone in the world whose the same interest in Korea, to improve mutual understanding of Korea and Indonesia. To myself, being selected as one of Worldwide Korea Blogger is a big challenge and responsibility and I try to do my best to contribute as much and as much as I can. I really enjoy the job anyway. Eventually, the more I do the coverage on Korea events here, the more I know about Korea, and the more it encourage me to visit Korea.
So, what become my biggest and most important resolution for 2015 is to visit Korea. My wishlist to do in Korea not only traveling and enjoying many tourist destinations there but I also wish that I can do some research on how Korea manage and conduct its worldwide promotion and policies to introduce all about Korea around the globe and create the Korean Wave. From my research, I hope i can also contribute in promoting my country and its potential tourism to the world in a better strategy as Korea did. And also, I wish I can interact with native Korean by living with them for several days maybe … to learn the language and also to find out how Korean people in their daily life, wether or not it’s the same with what I see in many Korean dramas.
My other 2015 resolution related to Korea is to continue my Korean language study. I really wish to do that this year. If I can’t make it … I have to spare regular time to learn the language from internet, films, drama or K-pop.
What else? Of course I’ll keep on writing about Korea and for blog Korea.Net in the years to come as long as I am still needed as worldwide Korea bloggers. :)
