Traveling to non-muslim country
sometimes sometimes it finds difficult for muslim tourists. They frequently
face difficulties to find places for prayer, to know qibla direction ( qibla
refers to the direction a muslim faces when praying), to find halal food, etc.
But now, I am very happy to find an application “Halal Korea” that people can downloaded
from Google Play and App Store. We can also follow Halal Korea page in Facebook.
Korea is one of major tourist
destination for muslim tourists. In recent years, there is an increasing
mumbers of muslim tourists who visit Korea. They are mainly from Middle East and
Asia. In 2014, visitors from Malaysia and Indonesia are in the top 10 of
tourists coming to Korea.
Based on data from Korea Tourism
Organization, at least there about 750.000 muslim travelers who visited Korea
in 2014 or 5,3 percent fo the total foreign tourists. To realize the great
potential of muslim travelers, Korea is now being intensively introducing and
promoting what it’s called muslim-friendly tourism to attract more muslim
tourist traveling to Korea.
What Korea is doing to develop
muslim-friendly tourism among others published muslim tourists guidebook and
provided more prayer facilities in many places of tourists sites in Korea, from
Nami Island to Jeju Island.
Back to Halal Korea App, I think
this application is very helpful for muslim tourists in Korea. In accordance
with its slogan “the smart way to find everything halal in Korea” this mobile
application give a quick, easy and convenient muslim tours.
This halal tour integrated
application provides all information muslim needs when visiting South Korea,
such as halal food, halal restaurants, halal food market, mosque, prayer spots,
qibla direction, prayer time, Quran digital, community, and the most important
thing is scanning feature on this app that muslim tourists can scan the barcode
of food products to find that wether or not the product is halal.
The Halal Korea App also offers high
level of convenience by sharing tour information on attractions, hotels,
shopping festival and transportation.
I am really appreciated the mobile
application company that has created this very useful application, because I think
we can use of this app not only when we travel to Korea but also when we travel
to any other countries, specially to find qibla direction. []
